A HOSPICE that helps Spa residents and their families is celebrating after a donation of more than 300 new bridal gowns and prom dresses.

The wedding dresses would normally retail for up to 1,200 but brides-to-be won’t have to fork out more than around 300 for one of the outfits.

The dresses will go on sale at the new St Richard’s Hospice charity shop which opens at The Cross, Worcester, on Friday.

As well as 320 wedding dresses and 100 prom dresses, the donation included 250 pairs of wedding shoes, gloves and tiaras.

St Richard’s shops and commercial director Dan Corns said: “ We were absolutely stunned when the owner of Chalmaine of Worcester bridal shop made us the offer. We couldn’t believe our luck.
