It is her first official appearance since she married Ryan Reynolds, and Blake Lively certainly made it count.

The statuesque blonde looked rapturously stunning in a beautiful pale pink and silver dress as she attended a prestigious Chanel event in New York on Tuesday.

The unusual gown consisted of a plunging neckline and metal-strap halter neck design that continued below her derriere in a quirky vertebral column design. When it comes to buying the stunning One-Shoulder Wedding Dresses, you should not miss millybridal.

Just married: Blake Lively looked incredible in silver and pink at the Chanel Fine jewellery 80th anniversary of the 'Bijoux De Diamants' collection tonight

Lively left her beloved at home for the 80th anniversary of the Bijoux De Diamants collection tonight but interestingly for a newly married woman, she showed no bling of her own.

However, last month, Blake debuted the $2million pink diamond - roughly 12 carat total weight depending on the way it was cut - while caught kissing her new hubby shortly after the ceremony.

A spokedperson for jeweller Lorraine Schwartz, who worked with Ryan to design the ring, said he pulled out all the stops to ensure that the jewel was the perfect choice for Blake's dainty fingers.

'Ryan chose Lorraine Schwartz to help him find a flawless, light pink oval diamond. They worked together to design a custom setting in rose gold and pave diamonds with a nod to deco.'

Perfect from every angle: Blake spun around for photographers to show off her stunning dress

Flawless: Blake's dress had a lovely chain detail and she wore shoes by her favourite designer, Louboutin

In fact, the actress' beautiful dress at the Big Apple event featured pockets for her to slip her hands into, so her all important ring was well out of view.

Not a surprising move for someone who didn't announce her engagement and who planned an intensely private, but apparently lavish wedding, last month.

The actress, 25, wore a custom Marchesa dress created by her close friends, Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig, with shoes by her favourite footwear designer, Christian Louboutin.

The ballgown featured hand-draped silk tulle bodice which was tripped with crystal and rose gold embroidery.

Girl got style: Everyone would love to see Blake's wedding dress, but she's keeping it private

Her bridesmaids wore blush silk chiffon confections with crystal detailing by the same label.

The groom, 35, and his party all wore Burberry suits trimmed with leather braces designed by his pal, Christopher Bailey.

The pair exchanged exchanged vows at the Boone Hall Plantation Charleston, South Carolina, which famously appeared in Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling's romantic movie,Internet wholesale underwear Socks and Boxers. The Notebook.

'From the heartfelt ceremony to the fun-filled carnival hour and elegant reception, it was a truly enchanting celebration,D emetrios has unveiled the catalog of his collection of wedding dresses made in china wholesale.' according to Martha Stewart Weddings magazine, which helped organise the event along with local wedding planner Tara Guérard.

The ceremony was held in a 'rustic barn' and the reception was held in a white tent at the plantation.

British singer Florence Welch is said to have performed three songs at the after-party. Blake counts her as a close friend and she even appeared on an episode of Gossip Girl back in 2011.One affordable one shoulder wedding dresses up Games, Dress up games for people who love fashion.

Style in spades: Diane Kruger looked incredible in her blue bandeau number paired with Louboutin Pigalle heels, while Elle Fanning teamed her black dress with a quirky hat and loafers

The couple have only been dating for a year and had not even announced they were engaged.

Despite high-profile romances with Gossip Girl co-star Penn Badgley - whom she dated for three years - and a brief flirtation with Leonardo DiCaprio, it is the first time Blake has been married.

If you're planning a wedding near Halloween, why not have some fun with it? We're not saying you have to wear a black dress and decorate with cobwebs (but if that’s what you’re into, then more power to you), but here are some fun, playful ways to incorporate Halloween into your wedding instead of ignoring it altogether.

Atmosphere:

Use fall flowers in your bouquet, but have a surprising element such as a ghost peeking out from beneath the flowers. While you're at it, give the groom and his groomsmen Halloween flare by using unique boutonnieres.

Place some decorated pumpkins in easily overlooked areas. Try carving the names of the newlyweds and the wedding date into one of the prettiest pumpkins.

Dinner:

An autumnal twist on typical wedding dishes is a must. These meals are hearty, delicious, and elegant.Off-Shoulder Wedding Dresses Incorporate pumpkin and nuts to really warm the heart, with dishes like pumpkin risotto served in a hollowed-out pumpkin or butternut squash soup with roasted walnuts. For some other great ideas, look here.

Drinks:

Cocktails are liquid candy for adults, so use the bar to incorporate the Halloween spirit.

If you are having a do-it-yourself bar at your reception, set up a "pick your poison" drink station offering tantalizing concoctions. Make sure to have a cauldron filled with toxic mixtures.

Dessert is where your childish side can come out and play, so have your favorite childhood treats and candy on offer for all to enjoy.wholesale underwear

Serve customizable caramel apples and allow your guests to coat the caramel with treats such as sprinkles or chocolate candies.

Set up a candy station with bowls full of all your favorite candy and let guests go "trick-or-treating." These trick-or-treat bags would make great party favors.

Instead of having chocolate-covered strawberries for the bride and groom, have strawberry ghosts. Just dip the strawberries in melted white chocolate and paint scary "boo" faces in milk chocolate.

Costumes:
Don't let your wedding turn into a costume party, but a fun way to let your guests dress up, even for just a few minutes, is to have a photo booth.oscar dresses 2012 Provide lots of funny props and dress-up gear such as boas and crowns so your guests can let loose by becoming witches, queens, and ghosts. Plus, the photos will make great souvenirs.ball gown wedding dress

Another way to incorporate Halloween costumes is to turn your wedding into a masquerade ball and have all of your guests wear masks.

Halloween weddings can be wacky, but they can also be romantic and chic with the right details Place blood-red roses on place settings or use a burnt-edged book for the guest book with a vintage-looking feather pen. Candles create a mysterious and romantic feel and can be placed on tables in black votives, or placed in chandeliers.

These romantic and fun touches will make sure your Halloween-themed wedding is your big day and not a kid’s party. Skip the costumes and paper bats and go for elegant accents and sinful cocktails.

No offense to Cinderella, but she sort of had it backwards. The shoe should be at the end of the to-do list for a wedding fairy tale.

After the engagement, first consider the venue, then the dress — then the shoes and other accessories, wholesale underwear experts say. Collectively, they should have a complementary vibe.

"It's all a picture that comes together," says gown designer Reem Acra.

No flip-flops for a formal setting and dress, and satin pumps would be silly on the beach.

Tanya Dukes, accessories editor at Brides magazine, suggests these practical questions:

— How high for the heel? Think of the proportions of the dress, how tall you'll stand and if you are used to wearing heels at all, she says.

— Is the wedding outside? A lawn wedding, for example, could be trouble for a spiky heel.Off-Shoulder Wedding Dresses A wedge would fare better.

— How formal is the occasion? Fabric matters here. "Satin is the traditional choice, and it's a safe bet," Dukes says.uniform costume

And then there's deciding whether you ever want to wear the shoes again.

"Most women don't wear their bridal shoes again not because they're not wearable, but because they're a memento," says footwear designer Stuart Weitzman, who got his start in business in bridal more than 25 years ago. "I make every bridal shoe in dyeable satin, so you could wear them again, but you'd lose the memento, and then you'd wear those dyed shoes once and ruin those 'bridal shoes.' Most women never throw them out."

Weitzman says his success in this market is due partly to an observation by Judith Leiber, founder of the famous beaded bag collection, who noted an "ugly bluish tone" to most wedding shoes. He created a pair out of Swiss lace, won a design award for them and the rest is history.

He sees as much variety in wedding-shoe styles as he does on the street: Women want sandals,Christmas Costume stilettos, platforms and lace booties, but the traditional pump is the most popular.

Shoes often spend most of the big day covered by the gown's hemline, but they can be a glimpse of the bride's personality. The moment the shoes will probably get the most attention is right before she kicks them off to dance, says Acra with a laugh.

ON April 19, 1947, Joan Rathbone wore a beautiful dress made entirely of Nottingham lace when she married Ken Simpson.

"It was a fantastic day, it really was. There was still snow on the ground but the sun shone," says 88-year-old Joan, of Melbury Road, Bilborough.

The couple were married at St Mary's Church, in Bulwell, before a reception at a church hall in Broomhill Road.

They didn't go on their honeymoon straight away, instead choosing to visit Bournemouth the following year.

"And that's when I wore my bikini," says Joan, smiling.

Since that day, the dress has been stored in an old dry-cleaning box, bearing a date from 1938. As far as Joan can recall, in that time it's been out of the box only once, to show her daughter Yvonne, now 57, but that was at least 50 years ago.

"I can't even remember when I packed it," says Joan. "I must have packed it up after I got married and after that it's always been at the bottom of my wardrobe."

It was a recent article in the Post about modern-day Nottingham lace wedding dresses by Kula Tsurdiu that prompted Joan to think about her dress. She invited the Post along to unwrap it from the box with her.

Sadly, Ken died 22 years ago but Joan's first thoughts upon opening the box and seeing her wedding dress for the first time in more than 50 years were of her husband.

"Oh Kenny boy, look at that – it's beautiful," says Joan.

"I didn't realise it was like this – look at the detail. The shape of the dress is lovely, even right down to the sleeves."

Made entirely of lace, the full-length dress has buttons all down the front, a Peter Pan collar, ruched shoulders, long sleeves and a small train.

Despite spending the past 50-odd years in a box, it isn't fragile and the lace is still in perfect condition.

Joan bought the lace from the old Nottingham Market, near to where Oceana nightclub is now.

"There were lots of lace stalls there and me and my mum went down there and bought all the lace,'' she says.

"It was a massive market because, of course, we hadn't got the Victoria Centre then.uniform costume That was a fantastic market. All the lace was from Nottingham because we'd still got all the factories."

Although she can't recall how much the lace for the dress cost, she doesn't believe it would have been expensive, especially compared to the average cost of wedding dresses these days.

Joan always had an eye for style and she designed the dress but it was family friend Ada Tippin who crafted it by hand. Joan says: "She was ever so nice, Ada. She said, 'you get me the material and I'll make it for you, Joan'.Christmas Costume

"I do remember that I chose what I wanted. And you were all covered up then from top to bottom; really well wrapped up."

Joan spent her life growing up around lace, which is why it was fitting for her to wear it on her big day.

Her mother, Lillian Rathbone, worked at Birkin's lace factory when she was young and then when she had Joan and brother Harry, Lillian used to take rolls of lace home to repair.

Joan says: "My brother and I used to be in the dining room on the table and we used to go through it and tie knots where the little holes were so my mum knew where they were."

Joan and Ken met on New Year's Eve 1945 at the Crown pub, in Main Street, Bulwell, when Ken was on leave from the Royal Marines.

When he was posted away again, they wrote to each other and, after he was discharged in May 1945, they started going out. In June 1946, they were engaged.

The couple had more than 40 years together before Ken died. He spent his working life as a rep for Cheshire Carpets.

After being employed at a munitions factory during the war, Joan carried on working, first at the Co-op in Bulwell and then as a hairdresser at Joyce Jackson's, also in Bulwell.

At her home, Joan is surrounded by memories of their years together.

She says: "Lots of people don't know how lovely Nottingham lace is. It's so beautiful and it's really good quality."

Joan's dress, which looks almost as new as when it was put in a box in 1947, is testament to that.

The 30-year-old X Factor panellist was dressed down in a loose-fitting white top, small denim shorts and pink flip-flops.

Protective fiancé Jason walked a subtle step behind Britney as the pair ran their errands at the store.

The eco-friendly specifications of the car are likely to appeal to Britney, but the compact size of the vehicle means that only two people can fit in the car.

A sick husband wasn't going to keep Jana Wesson from missing opening weekend of the 38th annual Texas Renaissance Festival.

The 39-year-old said she's traveled to Todd Mission annually from Houston for more than a decade for the food, entertainment and, of course, company.

“I've come up with a lot of good friendships out here,” Wesson said, adding she's visited renaissance festivals in Louisiana, Minnesota and Maryland. “It's a community. There really are a lot of nice, nice people that come to the fair.”

The festival is about getting into the spirit of it all, Wesson said, adding her fair name is Var Greyshadow. She sported a leather “Avenger” look, with feathers protruding from her hat and a sword at her side — her standard outfit, but she said she'll change it occasionally You can have a Christmas Costume to enhance the enjoyment of your holiday season.to match whatever the theme is that weekend.

The festival opened Saturday and will run every weekend through Nov. 25, featuring about 500 costumed performers on 17 stages with 400 shops on the grounds between Magnolia and Plantersville. The upcoming weekend's theme will be “1001 Dreams,” featuring Queen Titania and her Fairy Court, described as a magical weekend of wizards, elves and fairies. Other theme weekends includes pirates, Rome, barbarians and more.

'Realistic atmosphere'
Cat Dye, a 56-year-old Houston resident wearing purple and orange flowers in her hair, has made the annual trek for two decades.

“You feel like you've gone back in time. It envelops you. You feel like you're a part of the era and can escape reality,” Dye said.

Dye walked the fairgrounds Sunday on a date with her husband, both of whom were dressed in renaissance-like accessories collected over the years. She said her next trip will be with their entire family. It's an event to look forward to all year, she said.

There's entertainment they won't miss, including the comedian Ded Bob; the Fire, Whip Show, which combines stunts and tricks with comedy and historical stories; Birds of Prey show, which showcases hawks, eagles, owls and vultures; and their favorite, the French performer Arsene, who has been performing worldwide since 1976. Dye said she's traveled to Baltimore and California for renaissance festivals, but “nothing compared to this.”

The permanent buildings at the festival grounds create a more realistic atmosphere, she said.

“You actually feel like you're really here, whereas some of the other ones you feel like they've thrown something up,” she said.

With an outfit straight from the TV show Monster High, 11-year-old Stephanie Lovelace, of Conroe, kicked off her first trip at the festival with a funnel cake.

“I like all the characters and the dresses,” said Stephanie, who wore a lightening bolt belt with a black and white polka-dotted tie.

Nine-year-old William Rencon sat beside her in a red and black jester costume.

“I decided to wear this to act like my story was I was a terrible jester so the king killed me,” he said showing his skull-like mask.

William said he looks forward to the festival and seeing “all the olden day stuff” and, of course, the food.

'Feels so great'
Nicole Kelly, 21, of Houston, and Scott Nelson, 27, of College Station, said they “practically live here” and plan to attend each weekend through November.

Kelly said she looks forward to the festival and being able to talk to complete strangers through the bond of the love of the fair.

Nelson, who made his costume, said it originated as a vampire hunter and has evolved into a pirate over the years.

“It's impossible to be upset or down here. Everything just feels so great,” Nelson said. “The food is amazing. I literally set aside money through the year just to buy the food here because it's so good.”

Kye Rymer, 25,We have a huge variety of uniform costume to buy in stock! and Samantha Krueger, 23, both of Tomball, said they enjoy seeing the variety of costumes attendees wear to the fair — among their favorites: Ghostbusters, Captain Jack Sparrow and anyone sporting chainmail armor.

“Pretty much, if there's a theme, I'm going to be here in that theme,” Krueger said.

Rick Hollingsworth, 52, of Albuquerque, N.M., said two weeks ago he was in Santa Fe for renaissance festival. He and his wife, Daphne Hollingsworth, 45, have traveled to fairs in Georgia and Colorado Springs, but nothing compares to this one.

“It's actually built for a renaissance fair, whereas some you go to they have to set up tents,” she said. “You walk into this and you step out of time.”

The couple came dressed as pirates Sunday but said on Saturday she was a wench and he was one of The Three Musketeers.

With flowers in her hair and wearing her boyfriend's dark green cape to keep warm, Emily Baucum, 15, of Sugarland, said she's been coming to the festival since she was a child.

Her boyrfriend, Atticus Finch, 16, of Sugarland, said he's been buying pieces of his outfit over the years to create his desired look.

The couple held hands as they walked through the fairgrounds, the first of many trips this season, they said.

“The atmosphere is really cool,” Finch said. “When you show up and everyone's in costume, it's really cool to be a part of that.”

Finding the perfect wedding dress can be one of the most stressful parts of planning a wedding, and when you’re looking at plus size wedding dresses, that stress can increase as the number of choices available in your size diminishes. Luckily there are more and more high street retailers realising that there is a huge market for plus size wedding dresses, and here at Plus Size Tall, we’ve compiled our top seven tips for finding your dream dress.

There are plenty of options out there for those who are happy to search, and it is best to give yourself as much time as possible so that you can get the dress tailored if needs be.

1. Good underwear is the building block to the perfect dress.

As with every outfit, having good underwear is the all-important first step. Whether you want something which lifts, sucks, tucks or all of the above, there is a bridal range which will cater to your need. There is a misconception that bridal underwear is designed to be pretty and floaty.china wholesale bridesmaid dresses This can be true for the skimpier items, but for the most part bridal underwear consists of gravity defying strapless bras and Basques with more pull then ten pairs of Spanx! We particularly love the Panache Evie Bridal Basque (46) from Simply Be which is both beautiful and feminine with pretty, floral embroidered lace. The Basque has under-wired cups, suspender attachments and adjustable straps to give you several options of how it best fits with your chosen dress. It’s also very important to have a dress fitting in your chosen underwear as some of it – corsets especially – will drastically change the shape of your body.
2. Know your body shape.

Different body shapes will suit different types of plus size wedding dresses, so it is helpful to have a rough idea of what shape suits you and what parts of you body you want to flaunt or hide. An A-Line shape is flattering on most figures as it skims over the hips, whilst full ballgown skirts will add roundness to the area. However don’t be scared to break the rules – the best thing to do is to try on a range of styles, and see which ones makes you melt when you view your reflection.

3. Weight Changes.swim bikini

Whilst planning your dream wedding, there is a real chance of your weight fluctuating due to stress and if you’re buying your dress early on, this is something important to keep in mind. Of course it is always advisable to visit a tailor to get your chosen dress fitted properly, but you don’t want to have too many big changes to make in the final run-up to your wedding.

Additionally, it is inadvisable to buy a dress several dresses to small with the aim of “fitting into it”. Not only is this bad for your self-confidence, you really don’t want to add something else to your list of things to worry about. And if by the end, you haven’t fit into the dress you’re stuck as it’s much harder to take a dress out, than it is to take one in.
4. Seasonal Fabrics.

The choice of dress fabric is often in keeping with seasonal trends.ball gown wedding dress Lace and lighter weight fabrics are perfect for the warmer weather, whilst heavier dresses made from fabrics such as ribbed silk are much more suited to Autumn and Winter. The weight of the dress is just as important as the fabric, and it is good to keep in mind that additional adornments such as beading can add a substantial amount of additional heaviness. Most brides will be wearing their dress for at least five hours, so you need to ensure that you will be comfortable standing in it for that long.
5. Cover-Ups.

As well as the underwear and plus size wedding dresses themselves, cover-ups are another essential tip, especially in the Winter. Whether you want to feel a little more covered, or simply want to add some more drama or warmth, a cover-up can transform the feel of your chosen look greatly. 6. Tailoring.

Perhaps the most important piece of advice given to a plus size bride is to not buy a dress just because it comes in your size. If you’re not in love with it, keep looking. Remember you can have your dress tailored to fit you perfectly if required. Don’t let the sales-clerk push you into a particular style and if you’re visiting a shop in person, try to take a friend or two with you as back-up and to offer a second opinion. You must feel comfortable and special in your chosen dress, something which should be non-negotiable in your plus size wedding dress search. The way a garment fits can make all the difference in the world to how you look AND feel.
7. Comfort.

Even the most stunning dress in the world won’t look great if you’re constantly pulling it up or tugging it down with a stressed and uncomfortable look on your face. You’re going to be stood in the that dress on full display for quite some time, so consider whether you can stand, sit, get in and out of cars, walk and move around with ease.

When trying on your dress, don’t just look in the mirror standing up. Sit down, check the back and make sure that there are no bulges or rolls on display. Many dresses are laced up, so the dress should fit you perfectly with capes and boleros also a good aid in hiding anything which you’re not happy with being seen.

If the thought of being stood in your heavy dress all night fills you with dread, then bring a second evening dress to change into once you’ve arrived at your reception and had your photos and first dance taken care of. Then you should be free to enjoy the rest of your special day in comfort and style.
