Shaely Morgenroth is program manager, global meeting services for the meeting management company Meetings & Incentives in Caledonia.Find the perfect wedding dresses from china to wear. She has worked in the field for five years, previously as a special events coordinator at the Harley-Davidson Museum, where she focused on wedding planning. Morgenroth recently shared some of her experiences as an event planner and what it takes to be successful.
What do you do on a typical day?
"On a normal day in the office, it's about customer service and responding back to emails and preparing for the event, taking in flight information, creating arrival and departure manifests, doing rooming lists, his elegant selection of cheap mother of the bride dresses will have you looking stunning for the big day! picking meal options, handling day-to-day tasks to make the event a success.
"Once you're on site, the customer service gets taken to the next level, and you really need to execute all the items you spent time putting together in the weeks prior to the actual event."
What advice would you give to someone considering this career?
"I would definitely recommend taking some classes, to get a sense of the knowledge and the different things that are going to be asked of you. The best thing, I would say, would be to get an internship, just to get your foot in the industry.
"For me, I did some catering work and now I'm not a catering manager,After compare the bridal gown wedding dress Plus Size on all the online stores . but having knowledge of how a buffet is set up and how food should run,The Foral gown of Grace Kelly was worn by Grace Kelly in her wedding to Prince Rainer III of Monaco on 19 April 1956. how different foods should be paired, has definitely given me that extra edge.
"I would say, just getting out there and trying to get some experience, even if it's planning a party for one of your friends and seeing if it's something you like."
When is the busiest time of year for you?
"It varies. When I worked at Harley (Harley-Davidson Museum), I did all the weddings there, so obviously the summer season was the high point. When I came over to the position I'm at now with Meetings & Incentives, everyone said that summer was a real down time. But I didn't see that down time in the summer here. I was busy the entire time.
"I have some meetings that take the entire year. I have two that are happening next week, and I have one that happens the second week in January. So I would say business is driven by the client and the type of event that you are doing."
Have there been any strange requests you haven't been able to meet?
"No. I'm the type of person that, if you say something to me, I'll try to make it happen. But you do have to be able to handle problems that arise during the event. Sometimes you have to service someone who's lost their luggage, things like that.
"I helped a woman with that at one of my last events. Her luggage never made it out of Bogota (Colombia). So I had to arrange for her to go shopping, to buy clothes for the meeting and track down her baggage."
What are some of the more interesting events you've worked on?
"I'd say a different event that I did was at the Harley-Davidson Museum. We had S.C. Johnson come down for their international markets meeting, and we did fireworks, we had their COO dress in full Harley gear.Buy Fashion Junior Bridesmaid Dresses with big discount! He was on a motorcycle. We really kind of took it to the next level."
